Kasador + A Short Walk to Pluto + Juventud.

Rainbow Bistro, 76 Murray Street/ Byward Market, Ottawa, Ontario

Kingston, Ontario band Kasador have never been scared of change. And the three friends at Kasador’s core—Cameron Wyatt (vocals/guitar), Boris Baker (bass), and Stephen Adubofuor (drums)—have been through a lot of it. They’ve woven years of tumult through their mid- and late-20s into something powerful and real: a tight-knit, sincere, and caring rock and roll band hitting full sprint, with their new full-length record about youth, memory, relationships, and how the relentless passage of time shapes and constantly reshapes all of those things. Youth was released June 2, 2023. It’s a bright, punkish, emotional guitar-rock record that ultimately tracks the process of learning to be okay with not being okay.

After sharing stages with Arkells, July Talk, Sam Roberts Band, Finger Eleven and The Glorious Sons, Kasador recorded their new LP ‘Youth’ with The Glorious Sons’ Brett Emmons producing. The result on record is an essential document of a band realizing that things won’t—can’t—last forever, and how to make sense of the gap between youthful dreams and very adult realities. It’s all the more reason that the band is ready to burst out of the gate and storm stages across North America with Youth: nothing lasts forever.

A Short Walk to Pluto Formed in 2018, comprising members Emma Armstrong (lead vocals), Max Kaiser (lead guitar, keys, synths), Danny Moriana (bass guitar, backing vocals, synths), and Jake Biggs (drums and percussion), the band has developed a tremendous social media presence through TikTok and Instagram, where they regularly debut original music and covers of well-known classics. It was through that online presence that the band was discovered and recently endorsed by Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show. Though much of their success is owed to their social media engagement, it is their genre-defying original music and energetic live performances (most notably at Ottawa BluesFest 2022) that have generated a loyal, consistent, and far reaching following. The band finished their first US and Canadian Tour in January of 2024, selling over 150 tickets per show. A Short Walk to Pluto currently has over 900K followers on social media and 8 original music releases to date. Their most popular song has been You Are Not The Only One with over 220K streams across all platforms. This young and professional-sounding foursome is prepared to deliver a show that concert goers will remember for a lifetime.
