maxime. is a self-released, -published, -produced and -engineered artist who makes music from his bedroom. his left-of-centre music retains infectious pop sensibilities: its instruments are lush; its polish is colourful and distinctive.
maxime. released his debut, whatevernowiscalled – an expansive, 18-track project whose soundscapes capture his genre-blending appeal – in 2019; the album has since recorded 10M+ streams globally. its follow-up, cerulean (december, 2020), saw him taking risks and finding himself, sonically, the former electronic artist bringing his songwriting to the foreground.
