Established as a 4-piece in 2019, Mivule plays a unique blend of Reggae, Afrobeat, Dub and World Music.

The Vancouver-based band has performed at Ignite the Arts Festival (Penticton, BC), Northwest Folklife Festival (Seattle, WA), and three consecutive years at the African Descent Festival (Vancouver, BC).

Lead singer Brian Baroda draws on his experiences as a South Sudanese refugee to infuse the music with hopeful messages in English and East African languages.

Mivule is currently producing their debut album release this summer 2024!
